To begin this project I was given the bruised image of Sevdaliza (the Shabrang album cover), a statement from the singer and early access to a few songs on the album. I listened to each song multiple times, I made notes on the lyrics, the message, how it made me feel and from there, developed the initial concept proposals - Re-humanise, “Oh my god, who should I be” and The Healing Process.

We decided to go forward with concept 3, The Healing Process (Restraint, Damage, Healing & Memory) which was expanded on for a second collection Fragments.
