SKTK approached me to do a refresh of their existing brand elements, this consisted of colour palette update, social media graphic elements and templates inspired by the artist James Turrell. The identity refresh was supported by an art direction guide to inform the visual look of the content they wish to create

+ Snap-Shot Concept
Through focused trend, colour and material concepts I delivered a vision for Supra that was both in line with seasonal design themes and the cultural movements at the time. These focused concepts consisted of a visual “snap- shot” concept, a digital palette, direction for strategic development and application of colour and materials. These concepts, alongside a line plan, served as the brief for the design team to shape their FW19 men’s tier 0 streetwear collection

To begin this project I was given the bruised image of Sevdaliza (the Shabrang album cover), a statement from the singer and early access to a few songs on the album. I listened to each song multiple times, I made notes on the lyrics, the message, how it made me feel and from there, developed the initial concept proposals - Re-humanise, “Oh my god, who should I be” and The Healing Process.

We decided to go forward with concept 3, The Healing Process (Restraint, Damage, Healing & Memory)

Textile and Fashion Design for
Daily Paper
For the 2017 Fall/Winter collection with a concept already in place I worked on the fashion design and graphics focusing mainly on the women’s collection. Daily Paper’s quest for FW17 was to explore the concept of stealth and survival through the eyes of African youth.

“The South African youth has a unique culture and lifestyle that is constantly challenged. Despite their adverse circumstances, they have learned to adapt with the radical disruptions to their societies and pursue to migrate to the inner city and create a new world for themselves through sartorial elegance, style and grace. Ingenuity is the name of the game and being noticed is the main prize. The children of the city are all about find- ing and expressing their own unique identity and sharing this with the rest of the world.”
